PLUS SIZE LOUNGEWEAR ESSENTIALS

Hello and happy 2021, friends!

I hope however you celebrated the season, you got some time with those you love and that you’re ready for a clean slate and new year. A lot of awful things happened in 2020, but one little sliver lining I found was a new love for loungewear. I’ve loved joggers forever, but I think I’ve worn them more in the last 12 months than I ever have in my life – not sad about it!

The line between lounge vs. pajama vs. casual is VERY blurry and honestly, that’s what I love about the entire idea of loungewear. I have hope for a slow return to normalcy, but I think it’s safe to say we’re still going to spend a lot of time at home in 2021 and loungewear is going to be just as popular as it ever was. Today I’m sharing some favorite plus size loungewear pieces and styling ideas! *Please note these are affiliate links which means I make a small commission, but there is no extra cost to you for using them. When it comes to loungewear, there are three things I can’t live without:

1. Joggers

2. Matching sets

3. House shoes/slippers

I think joggers are a must-have loungewear piece and I love finding ways to style them that look just a bit more elevated. This outfit is an example of how you can take a lounge look out of the house and go anywhere while still being comfortable.

Black joggers have become such a staple in my wardrobe. I have multiple pairs and wear them several days a week. I’m not kidding, y’all. I throw them on with a sweatshirt and slippers when I’m hanging out at home, I add a tee and jean jacket to run errands, and I even dress them up with a cardi and flats for work! The joggers I’m wearing here are from Walmart.

I love how just switching out the jean jacket for a coat bumps this look up a notch. This coat is old but I found a similar (and less expensive option!) HERE.

I have also been a sucker for matching sets! Did you hop on this trend in 2020? I have no intention of putting it away in 2021. Something about a matching set is just fun and makes me feel good – plus you can absolutely break the sets up to get even more wear out of them! I think one of the reasons I love matching sets is because you don’t have to think about anything. You just throw them on and you’re good to go!

This camo set has been a favorite of mine and it keeps getting restocked. Yay! I also found a pair of crossband slippers that fit larger feet and come in tons of colors! You can CLICK HERE to shop this look.

Another great thing about lounge sets is being able to take the matching pieces and incorporate them into other outfits. This under $30 lounge/PJ set is so popular and affordable, it keeps selling out and coming back in stock. I added it to a pair of jeans and sneakers and it looks so cute! You’d never know it’s part of a pajama set.

If you’re interested in this tie dye lounge/PJ set, it actually comes in regular and plus sizes and a few other colors and patterns. I did a full try on of these pieces over on my YouTube channel. Click HERE to watch!

I’m a sucker for a great pair of slippers/house shoes. I have them on all the time at home! I found some that are VERY friendly to bigger feet on Amazon and I have been so excited to share them with my fellow wide foot gals! They go all the way up to 11.5-12.5 and come in tons of cute colors and patterns. I am always on the hunt for the BEST plus size fashion finds on Amazon and I keep everything rounded up for you over on my Amazon storefront. Seriously, y’all – joggers, matching sets, and house shoes are what got me through quarantine and are still such a big part of my wardrobe!
